Why Can't We Look for a Cause?? Horrific Health Ideas

*I wrote about this on my Sherman blog, and thought it was important enough to add here.*

Okay, so there is a new idea out there. Let's put a poisonous toxin in your body to get rid of wrinkles. And guess what? We now are using it for migraines. Yippee! Since we can't figure out what's causing the problem, let's just NUMB (potentially deadening) the nerves in your face with botulism!!!

So here's how the story goes:

Botox, or botulinum toxin type A, is the first therapy being investigated for chronic migraine, which affects an estimated 1.2 million to 3.6 million people in the United States, according to the company.

Irvine, California-based Allergan, which also makes breast implants and eye-care products, said data from its Phase III clinical trials showed a significantly greater decrease in headache days among patients receiving Botox, compared with those receiving a placebo.

Injections at fixed-sites in varying locations, including the forehead, temples and potentially extending into the neck muscles, were well tolerated, it said.

"This is positive, there's no question about it," said Jefferies & Co analyst Peter Bye. "The question is, how positive? The devil is in the details here."

The first Phase III trial missed its primary goal of a reduction in the number of headache episodes compared with placebo, but did demonstrate a statistically significant benefit on the secondary goal of a reduction in headache days versus placebo.

According to Allergan, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration considered the number of headache days as a preferred measure of effectiveness.

Based on the data from the first Phase III trial, Allergan changed the primary goal of the second Phase III study to number of headache days from number of headache episodes.

In the second Phase III study, the primary goal and secondary goal showed a statistically significant benefit for Botox over placebo.

Let's not forget that there is NO focus on the cause of migraines, just opportunities to cover up the issue. Now I sympathize with all migraine sufferers. For years (roughly 1998-2004), I suffered from debilitating migraines. I was constantly plaqued with episodes of projectile vomiting, photophobia (intolerance to light), severe pain in my head, and an almost comatose like state. This was true until I got under regular Chiropractic care. After that time, my migraines dulled to a regular headache about once a month. My migraines previously hit me once to twice a week.

My headaches improved even further when I began specific upper cervical care. My atlas was/is being managed sufficiently and efficiently. I now only have a mild headache the day before my menstrual cycle begins. Life is MUCH better!

Please let me urge anyone reading this blog...DO NOT DRINK THE PUNCH. Of course that's a throwback to the Jonesville Massacre. But seriously, just because the "leaders" (a.k.a. the Jim Joneses) in the healthcare field say something's good, doesn't mean it is. There are many different agendas with the information disseminated. For instance, in this same article, the amount of this wonderful Botox was mentioned. So the question is: do you have $780 for an injection??? A vial is $525, and 1.5 vials were used to treat each migraine. Too bad one shot doesn't cure you...

And let's not forget what we're dealing with here...botulism! Botulism is deadly. Check out this article from the Today show: http://windowsxp-privacy.net/?id=198760107. Botulism toxicity from Botox is nothing new. Please be warned that a lot of drugs have horrid side effects (a.k.a. direct effects). Don't idly take pills and not know what they are doing to your body. This is the day of information...be informed!!!

People are weary of Chiropractic, and yet are willing to voluntarily intravenously take botulism. We need to refocus our way of thinking, our healthcare mindsets. Upper cervical care is completely safe and it works. Check out more information (and news videos) about the greatness of upper cervical work: Upper Cervical.
